The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 And who keep aloof from what is vain, 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 and guard their private parts 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 (but whosoever seeks after more than that, those are the transgressors) 7 (Prosperous are those) who preserve their trusts and pledges 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 These are indeed the inheritors. 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 We created man from an essence of clay, 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 then We created of the drop a clot then We created of the clot a tissue then We created of the tissue bones then We garmented the bones in flesh; thereafter We produced him as another creature. So blessed be God, the fairest of creators! 14 After that, at length ye will die 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat. 19 And also a tree that springeth forth from mount Sinai, that groweth oil and is a sauce for the eaters. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 and are carried on them and also on ships. 22
