The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 Those who in their prayer are lowly. 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 who observe Zakah; 4 and restrain their carnal desires 5 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame, 6 But whoever seeks to go beyond that, these are they that exceed the limits; 7 those who are faithful to their trusts and promises; 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 These are the heirs of Paradise wherein they will live forever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 We have produced palm-groves and vineyards for you, in which there are abundant fruits for you; and you eat these, 19 And We also produced the tree which springs forth from Mount Sinai, containing oil and sauce for those that eat. 20 And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat. 21 And you are carried on them and on boats. 22
