The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 And who keep aloof from what is vain, 3 Who are active in deeds of charity; 4 and guard their private parts 5 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame, 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive 8 And those who are watchful of their acts of prayer. 9 Such are the inheritors 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 And assuredly We created man of an extract of clay. 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 then We created of the drop a clot then We created of the clot a tissue then We created of the tissue bones then We garmented the bones in flesh; thereafter We produced him as another creature. So blessed be God, the fairest of creators! 14 And then, behold! after all this, you are destined to die; 15 and be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed, We have created above you seven [celestial] orbits: and never are We unmindful of [any aspect of Our] creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure, and lodged it in the earth, and We are able to take it all away. 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
