The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 Those who in their prayer are lowly. 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 except with their spouses and slave-girls. The practice of carnal relations is lawful with them. 6 Those who desire to go beyond such limits they commit transgression, 7 and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges, 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 Those are the heirs 10 Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 We have produced palm-groves and vineyards for you, in which there are abundant fruits for you; and you eat these, 19 And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat. 20 And Verily! In the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat. 21 and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. 22
