The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 who are submissive to God in their prayers, 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 and guard their private parts 5 save from their wives and what their right hands own then being not blameworthy 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 and who guard their Prayers. 9 Such are the inheritors 10 Who will inherit Paradise, and live in it for ever. 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 then We made him, a drop, in a secure receptacle (the womb). 13 Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create! 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 and be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We created above you seven ways, and We were not heedless of creation. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. 20 There are lessons for you in the cattle from whose bellies We give you milk to drink, and there are other advantages that you derive from them, and some of them you eat; 21 And you are carried on them and on boats. 22
