The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers, 1 Those who humble themselves in their prayers; 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 Who abstain from sex, 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 (but whosoever seeks after more than that, those are the transgressors) 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 and who guard their Prayers. 9 These will be the heirs, 10 These are the heirs of Paradise wherein they will live forever. 11 And assuredly We created man of an extract of clay. 12 then We made him, a drop, in a secure receptacle (the womb). 13 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 and be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat. 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 In the cattle, too, is a lesson for you. We let you drink of that which is in their bellies, and there are many benefits in them for you, and you eat of them, 21 And upon them and on ships you are carried. 22
