The unbelieving assembly of his nation, who belied the encounter of the Everlasting Life, and on whom We had bestowed ease in this life, said: 'This is but a human like yourselves; he eats of what you eat and drinks of what you drink. 33 “If you were to obey a human like yourselves, then surely you are losers!” 34 “Does he promise you that when you die and turn into dust and bones, you will be raised again?” 35 ۞ Such a promise will never come true. 36 There is nothing but our present life; we die, and we live, and we shall not be resurrected. 37 He is only a man who invents lies against God, so have no faith in him". 38 He said, 'O my Lord, help me, for that they cry me lies.' 39 God said, "Before long they will be filled with regret." 40 So the true Scream seized them – We therefore made them like rotten hay; so away with the unjust people! 41 AND AFTER them We gave rise to new generations: 42 No nation will precede its time [of termination], nor will they remain [thereafter]. 43 Then sent We our messengers in succession: every time there came to a people their messenger, they accused him of falsehood: so We made them follow each other (in punishment): We made them as a tale (that is told): So away with a people that will not believe! 44 Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our miracles and clear proofs 45 to Pharaoh and his Council, but they were very proud, and they were a tyrannical nation. 46 They said, "Should we believe two men like ourselves while their people are for us in servitude?" 47 Thus, they gave the lie to those two, and earned (thereby) their place among the doomed: 48 And We gave Moses the Book that people might be guided by it. 49 And We made the son of Mary and his mother a portent, and We gave them refuge on a height, a place of flocks and watersprings. 50
