O ye messengers! enjoy (all) things good and pure, and work righteousness: for I am well-acquainted with (all) that ye do. 51 Verily this your order is one order, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 But people have cut off their affair (of unity), between them, into sects: each party rejoices in that which is with itself. 53 So leave them in their confusion for a time. 54 Do they think that by what We aid them with of wealth and children, 55 We are hastening to them of good things? Nay, they do not perceive. 56 Surely those who live in awe of their Lord, 57 and who believe in their Sustainer's messages, 58 who associate none with their Lord in His Divinity, 59 who spend their property for the cause of God, and whose hearts are afraid of their return 60 These hasten to good things and they are foremost in (attaining) them. 61 And We do not lay on any soul a burden except to the extent of its ability, and with Us is a book which speaks the truth, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly. 62 Yet their hearts are oblivious of this; and besides, they are busy with other things, 63 until - after We shall have taken to task, through suffering, those from among them who [now] are lost in the pursuit of pleasures - they cry out in [belated] supplication. 64 "Do not supplicate for help today; you will not be rescued by Us; 65 Our revelations had certainly been recited to you, but you turned your backs to them 66 In pride (they Quraish pagans and polytheists of Makkah used to feel proud that they are the dwellers of Makkah sanctuary Haram), talking evil about it (the Quran) by night. 67 Should they not think upon the saying? Or, did anything come upon them that had not come upon their ancient forefathers? 68 Or did you not recognize your Messenger and, thus, denied him (Muhammad) 69 or you said that he is possessed by satan? In fact, he has brought you the truth, but most of you dislike it. 70 Had the truth followed their fancies, the heavens, the earth, and all who live in them would have surely been corrupted. No, We brought them their Remembrance; but from their Remembrance they turn away. 71 Or dost thou ask of them (O Muhammad) any tribute? But the bounty of thy Lord is better, for He is Best of all who make provision. 72 Indeed you are calling them to a Straight Path, 73 But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ If We took compassion on them and removed the affliction they are in, they would only wander lost in confusion. 75 And already We overtook them with chastisement, but they were not submissive to their Lord, nor do they humble themselves. 76 until, when We open against them a door of terrible chastisement, lo, they are sore confounded at it. 77
