O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Taiyibat [all kinds of Halal (legal) foods which Allah has made legal (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits, etc.)], and do righteous deeds. Verily! I am Well-Acquainted with what you do. 51 And indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me." 52 But people later cut up their religion into bits, each group rejoicing in what they have. 53 So leave them to their ignorance for a time. 54 Do they think that in giving them wealth and children 55 Is [because] We hasten for them good things? Rather, they do not perceive. 56 Verily those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 who have full faith in the Signs of their Lord; 58 And those who join not anyone (in worship) as partners with their Lord; 59 And they who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will be returning to their Lord - 60 it is they who vie with one another in doing good works, and it is they who outrun [all others] in attaining to them! 61 And [withal.] We do not burden any human being with more than he is well able to bear: for with Us is a record that speaks the truth [about what men do and can do]; and none shall be wronged. 62 Nay, but their hearts are covered (blind) from understanding this (the Quran), and they have other (evil) deeds, besides, which they are doing. 63 So that when We seize the affluent among them with affliction, they will begin to implore for help. 64 'Groan not today; surely you shall not be helped from Us. 65 My Signs were rehearsed to you and you turned back on your heels and took to flight, 66 in arrogance, as if you were abandoning a story-teller. 67 Have they not pondered over the word of God? Has something come to them that did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or, is it that they recognised not their apostle, and so of him they become deniers? 69 Do they say he is mad! No, he came to them with the truth, but most of them hate the truth. 70 But if the truth were in accord with their own likes and dislikes, the heavens and the earth would surely have fallen into ruin, and all that lives in them [would long ago have perished]! Nay, [in this divine writ] We have conveyed unto them all that they ought to bear in mind: and from this their reminder they [heedlessly] turn away! 71 (Do they disbelieve because) you asked them for payment? The reward that you will receive from your Lord is the best. He is the best Provider. 72 And verily, thou callest them onto a straight way 73 but, behold, those who will not believe in the life to come are bound to deviate from that way. 74 ۞ Did We have mercy on them, and remove the affliction that is upon them, they would persist in their insolence wandering blindly. 75 We had seized them with the punishment, but they did not bow before their Lord nor turned to Him in humility, 76 To the extent that when We opened the gate of a severe punishment for them, they thereupon lie despairingly in it. 77
