O apostles! eat of the good things and do good; surely I know what you do. 51 Your nation is but one nation, and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me. 52 But the people divided their religion among them into sects - each faction, in what it has, rejoicing. 53 So leave them immersed in their heedlessness till an appointed time. 54 Do they think that by all the wealth and offspring with which We provide them 55 We hasten unto them with good things (in this worldly life so that they will have no share of good things in the Hereafter)? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Surely those who live in awe of their Lord, 57 who have full faith in the Signs of their Lord; 58 And those who ascribe not partners unto their Lord, 59 who give what they give, with their hearts quaking, that they will return to their Lord: 60 These hasten to good things and they are foremost in (attaining) them. 61 On no soul do We place a burden greater than it can bear: before Us is a record which clearly shows the truth: they will never be wronged. 62 On the contrary, their hearts are in neglect of this and their works are different than those of the believers, the works that they are doing. 63 But when We will strike with torment those (unbelievers) who are rich, they will start to cry for help. 64 (We shall say): 'Do not groan today, surely you shall receive no help from Us' 65 My communications were indeed recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels, 66 and arrogantly mocked and reviled them. 67 Did they never ponder over this Word (of God)? Or has he (to wit, the Messenger) brought something the like of which did not come to their forefathers of yore? 68 Or is it that they did not recognise their Noble Messenger, therefore they consider him alien? 69 Or, say they: in him is madness? O Aye he brought them the truth, and most of them to the truth are averse. 70 And if the Truth had followed their desires, verily the heavens and the earth and whosoever is therein had been corrupted. Nay, We have brought them their Reminder, but from their Reminder they now turn away. 71 Do you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) ask any fee from them? So the reward of your Lord is the best; and He is the Best Provider of Sustenance. 72 But verily thou callest them to the Straight Way; 73 and surely they that believe not in the world to come are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed their afflictions, they would still persist in their insolence, blindly wandering. 75 (They are such) that We seized them with chastisement (and yet) they did not humble themselves before their Lord, nor do they entreat 76 until We open before them a gate of harsh punishment and then they will be dumbfounded. 77
