Messengers! Eat of that which is good and do good deeds; I have knowledge of the things you do. 51 Your nation is but one nation, and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me. 52 But they split in their affair between them into sects, each party rejoicing in what is with them. 53 So leave them in their intoxication till a time. 54 Do they think that because We have granted them abundance of wealth and sons, 55 We hasten unto them with good things (in this worldly life so that they will have no share of good things in the Hereafter)? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Surely they who from fear of their Lord are cautious, 57 And those who believe in the communications of their Lord, 58 and who do not ascribe divinity to aught but their Sustainer, 59 And those who give what they give and their hearts fear for they have to return to their Lord. 60 These hasten to good things and they are foremost in (attaining) them. 61 And We do not lay on any soul a burden except to the extent of its ability, and with Us is a book which speaks the truth, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly. 62 But their hearts are covered with confusion over this, and they have [evil] deeds besides disbelief which they are doing, 63 Until when We overtake those who lead easy lives among them with punishment, lo! they cry for succor. 64 Do not cry out for help this day, for surely you shall not be helped by Us. 65 Our revelations had certainly been recited to you, but you turned your backs to them 66 In arrogance; talking nonsense about the Quran, and left him like one telling fables by night. 67 Did they never ponder over this Word (of God)? Or has he (to wit, the Messenger) brought something the like of which did not come to their forefathers of yore? 68 Or is it, perchance, that they have not recognized their Apostle, and so they disavow him? 69 Or do they say, "In him is madness?" Rather, he brought them the truth, but most of them, to the truth, are averse. 70 Had the truth followed their caprices, the heavens and the earth and whosoever in them is had surely corrupted. Nay, We brought them their Remembrance, but from their Remembrance they turned. 71 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask them for payment? But the reward of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers. 72 And verily, thou callest them onto a straight way 73 but those who disbelieve in the Everlasting Life deviate from the Path. 74 ۞ And though We have mercy on them We may remove whatsoever of hurt is with them, surely they would persist in their exorbitance, wandering perplexed. 75 And assuredly We took hold of them with the torment, yet they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they entreat. 76 until We open before them a gate of [truly] severe suffering [in the life to come]: and then, lo! they will be broken in spirit. 77
