Say: "O my Lord! if Thou wilt show me (in my lifetime) that which they are warned against,- 93 "My Lord! Then (save me from Your Punishment), and put me not amongst the people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing)." 94 Indeed, We are able to show you that which We promised them. 95 Repel, by [means of] what is best, [their] evil. We are most knowing of what they describe. 96 and say, "My Lord, I seek refuge with You from the prompting of the devils. 97 I seek your protection should they approach me." 98 When death comes to any of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 That I may work righteously in that which I have left. By no means! It is but a word he uttereth; and before them is a barrier until the Day when they shall be raised. 100 Then, when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask of one another. 101 Only those whose scales are heavier in the balance will find happiness. 102 And the ones whose scales prove light – it is they who put their lives into ruin, remaining in hell forever. 103 The Fire will sear their faces, and they therein will have taut smiles. 104 "Were not My messages read out to you? But you denied them." 105 They will say: Our Lord! Our evil fortune conquered us, and we were erring folk. 106 O our Lord! take us forth from it; then if we return, we shall be wrong-doers indeed. 107 He (Allah) will say: "Remain you in it with ignominy! And speak you not to Me!" 108 "Behold, there were among My servants such as would pray, 'O our Sustainer! We have come to believe [in Thee]; forgive, then, our sins and bestow Thy mercy on us: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!' 109 you made a laughingstock of them and your hostility to them caused you to forget Me, and you simply kept laughing. 110 Surely I have rewarded them this day because they were patient, that they are the achievers. 111 He will say, “How long did you stay on earth, counting by the number of years? 112 They will say: we tarried a day or part of a day; ask those who keep count. 113 He will say: ye tarried a little indeed; would that ye had known that. 114 What! did you then think that We had created you in vain and that you shall not be returned to Us? 115 Then, exalted be God, the true King, there is no deity except Him, the Lord of the Glorious Throne. 116 And whosoever calleth, along with Allah, unto god, of whom he hath no warranty, then his reckoning is only with his Lord; verily thrive will not the infidels. 117 And say thou: my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones. 118
