Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 My Lord! then place me not among the wrong-doing people. 94 We have the Power to strike them with torment before your very eyes. 95 Repel, by [means of] what is best, [their] evil. We are most knowing of what they describe. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I take refuge in Thee from the evil suggestions of the Satans, 97 And I seek refuge in Thee, my Lord, lest they be present with me, 98 [For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 "In order that I may work righteousness in the things I neglected." - "By no means! It is but a word he says."- Before them is a Partition till the Day they are raised up. 100 Then when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no more relationships between them that Day, nor will one ask after another! 101 If the side of ones good deeds weighs heavier on a scale, he will have everlasting happiness, 102 but if it weighs less, one will be lost forever in hell. 103 The Fire will scorch their faces and they will abide therein with their faces distorted. 104 Have not My revelations been rehearsed unto you, and them ye have been belying? 105 They will answer, "Lord, misfortune overcame us and we became an erring people. 106 "Our Lord! Bring us out of this; if ever we return (to evil), then indeed we shall be Zalimun: (polytheists, oppressors, unjust, and wrong-doers, etc.)." 107 He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me. 108 Verily! There was a party of My slaves, who used to say: "Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who show mercy!" 109 But you took them for a laughingstock, so much so that they made you forget My Remembrance while you used to laugh at them! 110 “Indeed this day I have rewarded them for their endurance, so that it is they who are the successful.” 111 They will be asked: "How long did you live on the earth in terms of years?" 112 They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep account." 113 [Whereupon] He will say: "You have spent there but a short while: had you but known [how short it was to be]! 114 Did you think that We had created you only for play, and that you would never be returned to Us' 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King; no god is there but He, the Lord of the honorable dominion. 116 He who crieth unto any other god along with Allah hath no proof thereof. His reckoning is only with his Lord. Lo! disbelievers will not be successful. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for Thou art the best of the merciful.' 118
