The Statute Book (Al-Furqaan)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Blessed is He Who sent down the Furqan upon His servant that he may be a warner to the nations; 1 To Him belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. He has not begotten any sons, nor does He have any partner in His kingdom. He has created all things with precisely accurate planning. 2 Yet they have taken besides Him other aliha (gods) that created nothing but are themselves created, and possess neither hurt nor benefit for themselves, and possess no power (of causing) death, nor (of giving) life, nor of raising the dead. 3 Those who disbelieve say: This is naught but a lie that he hath invented, and other folk have helped him with it, so that they have produced a slander and a lie. 4 And they say: "Tales of the ancients, which he has written down, and they are dictated to him morning and afternoon." 5 Say: "It (this Quran) has been sent down by Him (Allah) (the Real Lord of the heavens and earth) Who knows the secret of the heavens and the earth. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." 6 And they said, “What is the matter with this (Noble) Messenger, that he eats food and walks in the markets? Why was not an angel sent down along with him, to give warning along with him?” 7 Or a treasure should have been given to him, or he should have had an orchard from which he could eat." And these wicked people say: "You only follow a man ensorcelled." 8 Behold, how they strike similitudes for thee, and go astray, and are unable to find a way! 9
