(Remember) Noah, when he cried (to Us) aforetime: We listened to his (prayer) and delivered him and his family from great distress. 76 We helped him against the people who said Our revelations were mere lies. They were a bad people and We drowned them all. 77 And [mention] David and Solomon, when they judged concerning the field - when the sheep of a people overran it [at night], and We were witness to their judgement. 78 We made Solomon to understand it, and to both We gave judgment and knowledge. And with David We subjected the mountains and birds to exalt (Allah). All this We have done. 79 And We taught him the fashioning of coats of armor to protect you from your [enemy in] battle. So will you then be grateful? 80 And We subjected the fast wind for Sulaiman, which moved by his command towards the land in which We have placed blessings; and We know everything. 81 We also subjected to him some of the jinn who dived for him in the sea and performed other tasks; We kept a watch over them. 82 ۞ We bestowed (the same wisdom, judgement and knowledge) upon Job. Recall, when he cried to his Lord: "Behold, disease has struck me and You are the Most Merciful of those that are merciful." 83 We accepted his prayer and removed the affliction from him, and We not only restored to him his family but as many more with them as a mercy from Us and as a lesson to the worshippers. 84 And Ishmael, Idris, Dhul Kifl -- each was of the patient, 85 And We caused them to enter into our mercy, verily they are of the righteous. 86 And Yunus, when he went away in wrath, so he thought that We would not straiten him, so he called out among afflictions: There is no god but Thou, glory be to Thee; surely I am of those who make themselves to suffer loss. 87 We heard his prayer and saved him from grief. As such We shall save the believers. 88 And Zakariya, when he cried to his Lord: O my Lord leave me not alone; and Thou art the best of inheritors. 89 We therefore heard his prayer; and bestowed him Yahya, and cured his wife for him; indeed they used to hasten to perform good deeds, and pray to Us with hope and fear; and used to weep before Us. 90 And she who guarded her chastity, so We breathed into her of Our inspiration and made her and her son a sign for the nations. 91 Indeed this religion of yours, is one religion; and I am your Lord, therefore worship Me. 92 People have divided themselves into many sects, but all will return to Us. 93
