Have you not seen how your Lord lengthens out the shadow? Had He willed, He would have made it constant, but We have made the sun its pilot; 45 Then We draw it toward Us with an easy drawing. 46 And it is He who has made the night for you as clothing and sleep [a means for] rest and has made the day a resurrection. 47 And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy, and We send down from the sky pure water 48 That with it We may give life to a dead land, and slake the thirst of things We have created,- cattle and men in great numbers. 49 And verily We have repeated it among them that they may remember, but most of mankind begrudge aught save ingratitude. 50 And if We had willed, We would have raised up in each town a warner. 51 So, O Prophet, do not yield to the disbelievers, but wage a Jihad against them with this Qur'an. 52 ۞ AND HE it is who has given freedom of movement to the two great bodies of water - the one sweet and thirst-allaying, and the other salty and bitter - and yet has wrought between them a barrier and a forbidding ban. 53 And it is He, Who created man from water: then from him He caused two kinds of kindred, by blood and by marriage: your Lord is AI I-Powerful. 54 Yet they worship instead of Allah that which can neither benefit them nor hurt them. The disbeliever was ever a partisan against his Lord. 55 And We have sent you (O Muhammad SAW) only as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner. 56 Say thou: I ask of you no hire for this, save that whosoever will may take unto his Lord a way. 57 And put your trust (O Muhammad SAW) in the Ever Living One Who dies not, and glorify His Praises, and Sufficient is He as the All-Knower of the sins of His slaves; 58 He who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days and then established Himself above the Throne - the Most Merciful, so ask about Him one well informed. 59 But when they are told, 'Bow yourselves to the All-merciful,' they say, 'And what is the All-merciful? Shall we bow ourselves to what thou biddest us?' And it increases them in aversion. ۩ 60
