The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta'. Sin. Mim. 1 These are revelations of the Scripture that maketh plain. 2 Wouldst thou, perhaps, torment thyself to death [with grief] because they [who live around thee] refuse to believe [in it]? 3 If We willed, We could send down to them from the sky a sign for which their necks would remain humbled. 4 [But We have not willed it:] and so, whenever there comes unto them any fresh reminder from the Most Gracious, they [who are blind of heart] always - turn their backs upon it: 5 Now they have denied (the Truth); but there will come unto them tidings of that whereat they used to scoff. 6 Do they not observe the earth, how much of every good kind We cause to grow therein? 7 Most surely there is a sign in that, but most of them will not believe. 8 And verily, thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 9
