And when your Lord called to Moses, saying: 'Go to the harmdoing nation, 10 "The people of the Pharaoh: will they not fear Allah?" 11 He said: "My Lord! Verily, I fear that they will belie me, 12 "And my breast straitens, and my tongue expresses not well. So send for Harun (Aaron) (to come along with me). 13 "And (further), they have a charge of crime against me; and I fear they may slay me." 14 He said: 'Never so, go both of you with Our signs; We shall be with you, listening 15 Go to the Pharaoh and tell him: 'We bring a message from the Lord of all the worlds 16 [Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."'" 17 (Pharaoh) said: "Did we not cherish thee as a child among us, and didst thou not stay in our midst many years of thy life? 18 And you commited what you did, and you are ungrateful!" 19 Musa (Moses) said: "I did it then, when I was an ignorant (as regards my Lord and His Message). 20 “I therefore went away from you as I feared you – so my Lord commanded me and appointed me as one of the Noble Messengers.” 21 Now this is the favour that you tauntingly remind me of: that you enslaved the Children of Israel!" 22 Pharaoh said: And what is the Lord of the Worlds? 23 'He' (Moses) replied: 'is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if you believe' 24 Pharaoh said to those around him, "Did you hear?" 25 Musa (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers!" 26 The Pharaoh said, "The Messenger who has been sent to you is certainly insane". 27 He said, 'The Lord of the East and West, and what between them is, if you have understanding,' 28 Said he, 'If thou takest a god other than me, I shall surely make thee one of the imprisoned.' 29 Moses said: "Even if I were to bring a Clear Sign to you?" 30 Said Firaun, “Then bring it, if you are of the truthful.” 31 He cast down his staff and thereupon it was a clear serpent. 32 And he drew out his hand, and it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 33
