And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people - 10 and ask them, "Why do you not fear God?" 11 He said: My Lord! Lo! I fear that they will deny me, 12 "And my breast straitens, and my tongue expresses not well. So send for Harun (Aaron) (to come along with me). 13 “And they have an accusation against me, so I fear that they may kill me.” 14 He said: 'Never so, go both of you with Our signs; We shall be with you, listening 15 Then come to Firon and say: Surely we are the apostles of the Lord of the worlds: 16 "'Send thou with us the Children of Israel.'" 17 [But when Moses had delivered his message, Pharaoh] said: "Did we not bring thee up among us when thou wert a child? And didst thou not spend among us years of thy [later] life? 18 And [then] you did your deed which you did, and you were of the ungrateful." 19 Moses said: "I did it then, when I was in error. 20 I fled from you because I feared you. But my Lord has given me judgment and made me one of the Messengers. 21 "And this is the past favour with which you reproach me, that you have enslaved the Children of Israel." 22 The Pharaoh asked, "Who is the Lord of the Universe?" 23 'He' (Moses) replied: 'is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if you believe' 24 Fir'awn said unto those around him: hear ye not? 25 Said Moosa, “Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers preceding you.” 26 Fir'awn said: verily your apostle who hath been sent unto you is mad. 27 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the east and the west, and all that is between them, if you did but understand!" 28 'If you take any other god except myself' he (Pharaoh) replied, 'you shall be thrown into prison' 29 [Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest?" 30 The Pharaoh replied, "Bring it, if you are telling the truth." 31 So (Moses) threw his rod, and behold, it was a serpent, plain (for all to see)! 32 Then he drew out his hand, and it was luminous to the onlookers. 33
