The people of Noah rejected the Messengerss. 105 Recall when their brother Noah said to them: "Do you have no fear? 106 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 107 so serve you God, and obey you me. 108 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 109 Have fear of God and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we accept you even though it is the meanest of people who follow you?" 111 (Noah) said, "I have no knowledge of their deeds. 112 Their account is only with my Lord, if you could perceive 113 I am certainly not one to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said: if thou desistest not, thou shalt surely be of those stoned. 116 Then Noah said, "Lord, my people have rejected me. 117 So adjudge between me and them conclusively, and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 So We delivered him, and those with him, in the laden ship, 119 Then afterward We drowned the others. 120 In this there is evidence (of the truth) but most of them do not have any faith. 121 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
