The people of Nuh rejected the apostles. 105 when their brother Noah said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 106 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 107 Have fear of God and obey me. 108 I ask no payment from you for my preaching. The Lord of the Universe will give me my reward. 109 "So keep your duty to Allah, fear Him and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in thee when it is the meanest that follow thee?" 111 He said: "And what knowledge have I of what they used to do? 112 It is only for my Lord to take account of them. Would that you made use of your understanding! 113 And I am not (here) to repulse believers. 114 I am only a plain admonisher." 115 They said: "If you cease not, O Nuh (Noah)! You will surely be among those stoned (to death)." 116 He said, “My Lord, my people have denied me.” 117 hence, lay Thou wide open the truth between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me!" 118 We saved him and those who were with him in the laden ship, 119 and drowned the others. 120 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 121 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 122
