The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 when their brother Noah said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 106 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 107 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me 108 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 109 Hence, remain conscious of God, and pay heed unto me!" 110 ۞ They said, 'Shall we believe thee, whom the vilest follow?' 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they may have been doing (in the past)? 112 It is for my Lord to bring them to book, if you can understand. 113 "And I am not going to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a clear warner' 115 They said, "Noah, if you do not desist, you will be stoned." 116 He said, “My Lord, my people have denied me.” 117 so give true deliverance between me and them, and deliver me and the believers that are with me. 118 So We delivered him and those with him, in the Ark filled (with all creatures). 119 Then afterward We drowned the others. 120 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 121 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 122
