The Thamud belied the sent ones 141 When their fellowman Saleh said to them, “Do you not fear?” 142 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 143 so fear you God, and obey you me.' 144 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 145 Do you believe that you will be left here to live securely in the present state 146 among gardens and fountains, 147 And cornfields and palm-trees having fine spadices? 148 hewing out houses in the mountains and taking pride in your skill? 149 So be mindful of God and listen to me. 150 And obey not the command of the prodigal, 151 those who spread corruption on earth instead of setting things to rights!" 152 They said, “You are under a magic spell.” 153 Thou art nothing but a mortal like ourselves! Come, then, forward with a token [of thy mission] if thou art a man of truth!" 154 (Saleh) said: "Here is a she-camel. She has a right of drinking water, and you have a right of drinking it on appointed turns. 155 so do her no harm, or the punishment of an awful day will befall you." 156 They slew the she-camel, but later became regretful 157 For they were seized by the torment. Verily there was a sign in this, but most of them did not believe. 158 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 159

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
