Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 when their brother Lot said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 161 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 162 so fear you God, and obey you me. 163 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 164 "Must you, of all people, [lustfully] approach men, 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" 166 Said they: "Indeed, If thou desist not, O Lot, thou wilt most certainly be expelled [from this township]!" 167 (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions," 168 [And then he prayed:] "O my Sustainer! Save me and my household from all that they are doing!" 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 171 Then We utterly destroyed the others. 172 and rained down upon them a rain [of destruction]: and dire is such rain upon all who let themselves be warned [to no avail]! 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 175
