The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), 160 When their brother Lot said to them: "Will you not take heed? 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 164 Go ye in, of all creatures, unto the males? 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? No, but you are a transgressing nation' 166 They said: "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will be expelled (from the city)." 167 He said, 'Truly I am a detester of what you do. 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 Then We delivered him and all his family 170 except an old woman who stayed behind, 171 Thereafter We annihilated the rest. 172 And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned. 173 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 174 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 175
