The dwellers of the thicket gave the lie to the apostles. 176 Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear God? 177 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 178 Have fear of God and obey me. 179 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 180 ۞ "Give full measure, and cause no loss (to others). 181 And weigh (things) with a right balance, 182 and do not deliver short, and do not go about creating mischief in the land, 183 but be conscious of Him who has created you, just as [He created] those countless generations of old!" 184 They replied: 'You are surely one of those bewitched. 185 thou art naught but a mortal, like us; indeed, we think that thou art one of the liars. 186 "So cause a piece of the heaven to fall on us, if you are of the truthful!" 187 He said, "My Lord has full knowledge of all your actions." 188 They rejected him and then the torment of the gloomy day struck them. It was certainly a great torment. 189 Verily in that is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 190 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 191
