The dwellers of the wood belied the sent ones. 176 Recall, when Shuayb said to them: "Have you no fear? 177 I am for you a faithful Messenger, so fear you God, and obey you me. 178 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 180 ۞ "Give full measure, and cause no loss (to others). 181 And weigh with a balance straight. 182 “And do not give the people their goods diminished, and do not roam the earth causing turmoil.” 183 And fear Him who created you and all the earlier people." 184 They said: Thou art but one of the bewitched; 185 and a mere mortal like us. We think you are a liar. 186 So cause thou a fragment of the heaven to fall upon us, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 187 Shuayb said: "My Lord knows well all what you do." 188 But they belied him, then the punishment of the Day of Shadow (raining fire) seized them. Truly, it was the punishment of a dreadful day. 189 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 191
