The People of the Woods denied the Noble Messengers. 176 Shu'aib said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 177 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ "Maintain just measure in your business and do not cause loss to others. 181 and weigh with the straight scale, 182 do not defraud people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not spread corruption in the land. 183 And keep your duty unto Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old. 184 They said: "You are no more than one of those who have been bewitched, 185 thou art naught but a mortal, like us; indeed, we think that thou art one of the liars. 186 So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful." 187 He said: "My Lord is the Best Knower of what you do." 188 But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day. 189 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 190 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
