And most surely this is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 192 The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down 193 Upon your heart, for you to convey warning. 194 in the clear Arabic tongue. 195 This is (indicated) in the Books of earlier people. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 Had We revealed it to a non-Arab 198 And he had recited it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Even so We have caused it to enter into the hearts of the sinners, 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it. 202 Then they will exclaim, "Could we have some respite?" 203 So do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Seest thou? If We do let them enjoy (this life) for a few years, 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 of what avail would their past enjoyment be to them? 207 And We did not destroy any town but it had (its) warners, 208 for a reminder; and never did We wrong. 209 And the satans have not brought it down. 210 They are unworthy of it, nor can they do it. 211 The satans are barred from listening to anything from the heavens. 212 So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment. 213 and warn your nearest kinsmen; 214 And lower your wing to those who follow you of the believers. 215 Then if they disobey thee, say: "I am free (of responsibility) for what ye do!" 216 And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, 217 who sees thee when thou standest 218 and [sees] thy behaviour among those who prostrate themselves [before Him]: 219 Surely, He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the Satans come down? 221 They descend upon every lying, sinful one, 222 They give ear, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 Do you not see that they wander about in every valley 225 preaching what they do not practice. 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
