This surely is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe: 192 The Trusted Spirit hath brought it down. 193 to your heart that you might become one of those who warn (others on behalf of Allah), 194 (a revelation) in clear Arabic language, 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 Is it not a Sign to them - (to wit, the Makkans) - that the learned men of the Children of Israel know that? 197 If We had sent it down on a barbarian 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 They will not believe in it until they clearly see the grievous chastisement. 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 and then they will exclaim, "Could we have a respite?" 203 Do they really want Our chastisement to be expedited? 204 But hast thou ever considered [this]: If We do allow them to enjoy [this life] for some years, 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. 207 We never destroyed any town without first sending to them warning and guidance. 208 To advise; and We never oppress. 209 And [this divine writ is such a reminder:] no evil spirits have brought it down: 210 They are unworthy of it, nor can they do it. 211 indeed they are debarred from overhearing it. 212 (Muhammad), do not worship anything besides God lest you suffer the punishment. 213 And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. 214 and be meek to the believers who follow you. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 And put thy trust on the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,- 217 Who watches you when you get up, 218 and [sees] thy behaviour among those who prostrate themselves [before Him]: 219 Surely He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the satans descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 The satans try to listen to the heavens but many of them are liars. 223 Only the erring people follow the poets. 224 Seest thou not that they wander distracted in every valley?- 225 And that they say that which they do not? 226 Save those who believe and do good works, and remember Allah much, and vindicate themselves after they have been wronged. Those who do wrong will come to know by what a (great) reverse they will be overturned! 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
