This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 Which the True Spirit hath brought down 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayst be (one) of the warners, 194 in the clear Arabic tongue. 195 Surely, it is foretold in the ancient scriptures. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this [message] to pass [unheeded] through the hearts of those who are lost in sin: 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not. 202 They will therefore say, “Will we get some respite?” 203 Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Beholdest thou? if We let them enjoy for years. 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 of what avail to them will be all their past enjoyments? 207 And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners 208 By way of admonition, and We have never been oppressors. 209 And the satans have not brought it down. 210 And it behoves them not, and they have not the power to do (it). 211 indeed they are debarred from overhearing it. 212 So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised. 213 And warn [whomever thou canst reach, beginning with] thy kinsfolk, 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 then, if they disobey thee, say, 'I am quit of that you do.' 216 And rely upon (Allah) the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 217 who can see whether you stand up 218 And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. 219 for, verily, He alone is all-hearing, all-knowing! 220 Shall I inform you, (O people!), on whom it is that the evil ones descend? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley, 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 Except those who believe and do the right, and remember God a great deal, who retaliate only when they have been wronged. Yet the oppressors will now come to know through what reversals they will be overthrown! 227

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
