And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 Which the trustworthy Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought down; 193 upon thy heart, [O Muhammad] so that thou mayest be among those who preach 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And indeed it is mentioned in the earlier Books. 196 Is it not a token for them that the doctors of the Children of Israel know it? 197 Had We revealed it to any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 Even so, We have caused it to enter into the hearts of harmdoers: 200 they will not believe in it until they see the grievous punishment. 201 It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it. 202 And they will say, "May we be reprieved?" 203 Would they (now) hasten on Our doom? 204 Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years, 205 And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! 206 So of what benefit will be the comforts that they were using? 207 And never did We destroy a township which did not have Heralds of warning, 208 As a reminder; and never have We been unjust. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 It would neither suit them nor would they be able (to produce it). 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment. 213 And warn thy tribe of near kindred, 214 And lower thy wing (in kindness) unto those believers who follow thee. 215 Then if they disobey you say to them: "I am quit of what you do." 216 And rely thou upon the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 who can see whether you stand up 218 And thy movements among those who prostrate themselves, 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Shall I inform you upon whom do the devils descend? 221 They descend on every guilty impostor. 222 who readily lend ear [to every falsehood,] and most of whom lie to others as well. 223 Poets are followed by the perverse. 224 Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley, 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
