And the disbelievers said, “Will we, when we and our forefathers have turned into dust, be removed again?” 67 Indeed, we were promised this - we and our forefathers - in the past as well; it is nothing but fables of ancient times!" 68 Say: "Go about through the earth and see what has been the end of the evil-doers." 69 And grieve thou not over them nor be straitened because of that which they plot. 70 And they (the disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) say: "When (will) this promise (be fulfilled), if you are truthful?" 71 Say: 'It may be that part of what you seek to hasten on is already riding behind you' 72 Verily your Lord is gracious to men, though most men are ungrateful. 73 And indeed your Lord knows what is hidden in their bosoms, and what they disclose. 74 All the secrets in heavens and earth are recorded in the illustrious Book. 75 Verily this Qur'an doth explain to the Children of Israel most of the matters in which they disagree. 76 And verily it is a guidance and a mercy unto the believers. 77 Verily, [O believer,] thy Sustainer will judge between them in His wisdom - for He alone is almighty, all-knowing. 78 Hence, place thy trust in God [alone] - for, behold, that in which thou believest is truth self-evident. 79 [But,] verily, thou canst not make the dead hear: and [so, too,] thou canst not make the deaf [of heart] hear this call when they turn their backs [on thee] and go away, 80 Nor canst thou be a guide to the blind, (to prevent them) from straying: only those wilt thou get to listen who believe in Our Signs, and they will bow in Islam. 81 ۞ And when the word shall come to pass against them, We shall bring forth for them a creature from the earth that shall wound them, because people did not believe in Our communications. 82
