In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif Lam Mim 1 These are revelations of the wise Scripture, 2 a guidance and a mercy to those who do good, 3 Those who establish the prayer and give the poor-rate and of the Hereafter are convinced. 4 Those are on [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. 5 Some men there are who buy diverting talk to lead astray from the way of God without knowledge, and to take it in mockery; those -- there awaits them a humbling chastisement. 6 And when Our communications are recited to him, he turns back proudly, as if he had not heard them, as though in his ears were a heaviness, therefore announce to him a painful chastisement. 7 Surely those who believe and do good deeds shall have Gardens of Bliss. 8 To dwell therein. The promise of Allah is true: and He is Exalted in Power, Wise. 9 He has created the skies without any support that you could see, and has placed firm mountains upon the earth, lest it sway with you, and has caused all manner of living creatures to multiply thereon. And We sent down water from the skies, and thus We made every kind of excellent plant grow there: 10 This is the creation of God. Show me what those whom you consider equal to God have created. In fact, the unjust ones are in plain error. 11
