Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif, Lam, Meem. 1 These are the verses of the Book of wisdom. 2 a guide and a mercy for those who do good, 3 Those who establish worship and pay the poor-due and have sure faith in the Hereafter. 4 Such are on guidance from their Lord, and such are the successful. 5 Some men there are who buy diverting talk to lead astray from the way of God without knowledge, and to take it in mockery; those -- there awaits them a humbling chastisement. 6 And when Our verses are recited to him he haughtily turns away as if he did not hear them – as if there is deafness in his ears; so give him the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 7 Surely for those who believe and do the right are pleasure gardens. 8 Therein they will be abiders: a true promise of Allah. And He is the Mighty, the Wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars as you see them, and put mountains upon the earth lest it might convulse with you, and He spread in it animals of every kind; and We sent down water from the cloud, then caused to grow therein (vegetation) of every noble kind. 10 This is the Creation of Allah. Now show me that which those (ye worship) beside Him have created. Nay, but the wrong-doers are in error manifest! 11
