And a sign unto them is the dead land. We quicken it and thereout We bring forth grain, so that thereof they eat. 33 and produced therein grains from which they eat and established therein gardens of palms trees and vineyards and have made streams flow therein 34 that they might eat of its fruits. It was not their hands that made them. Will they not, then, give thanks? 35 Glory be to Him Who created all the sexual pairs, of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves, and of that which they know not! 36 And the night is another Sign for them. We strip the day from it and they become plunged in darkness. 37 While the sun keeps revolving in its orbit. This is the dispensation of the mighty, all-knowing (God). 38 And the moon - We have determined for it phases, until it returns [appearing] like the old date stalk. 39 It is not for the sun to catch up with the moon, nor does the night surpass the day; and each one of them floats in its orbit. 40 And an Ayah (sign) for them is that We bore their offspring in the laden ship [of Nuh (Noah)]. 41 And We have created for them similar ships, in which they now ride. 42 And if We please, We can drown them, then there shall be no succorer for them, nor shall they be rescued 43 unless it be a mercy from us, and as an enjoyment for a season. 44 When it is said to such people: “Guard yourselves against what is ahead of you and what has preceded you that mercy be shown to you” (they pay scant heed to it). 45 Never came a token of the tokens of their Lord to them, but they did turn away from it! 46 And when it is said to them: “Spend (in the Way of Allah) out of the sustenance that Allah has provided you,” the unbelievers say to the believers: “Shall we feed him whom, Allah would have fed, had He so wished?” Say: “You are in evident error.” 47 They also say: 'When will this promise be, if what you say is true' 48 They await only but a single Saihah (shout, etc.), which will seize them while they are disputing! 49 and they will not even be able to make a testament, nor to return to their households. 50
