The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I swear by those who draw themselves out in ranks 1 and the scarers scaring 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 Indeed your God is surely only One. 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 and to preserve against every rebel Satan; 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 driven away, and will suffer eternal punishment. 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 Nay, thou marvellest; and they scoff 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 and say: "This is clearly nothing but [a mortal's] spellbinding eloquence! 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 Say, "You will certainly be brought back to life in disgrace". 18 Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
