The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 It is the piercing star - 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 it is not a jest. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
