The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows, 1 and those who drive away [the wicked] with reproof 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 Verily your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment; 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 When they are reminded, they do not pay heed, 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And they say, “This is nothing but clear magic.” 15 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then certainly be raised, 16 Will our forefathers also be brought to life again?" 17 Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low. 18 There will only be a single jerk, and they will gape, 19 and they say, 'Woe, alas for us! This is the Day of Doom.' 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21
