The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those who range themselves in rows; 1 by those who drive away the devil (to protect Our revelation), 2 By the angels reciting the praise. 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, and Lord of the easts. 5 We have indeed adorned the lowest heaven with stars as ornaments. 6 And (there is) a safeguard against every rebellious Shaitan. 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 AND NOW ask those [who deny the truth] to enlighten thee: Were they more difficult to create than all those [untold marvels] that We have created? - for, behold, them have We created out of [mere] clay commingled with water! 11 Nay, you (O Muhammad SAW) wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Quran). 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 And when they see a sign they incite one another to scoff, 14 and say: "This is clearly nothing but [a mortal's] spellbinding eloquence! 15 They say, "Shall we be brought to life again after we die and turn into dust and bones? 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 Say: 'Yes, and in all lowliness.' 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 This is the Day of Decision which you belied. 21
