The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the aligners (angels) aligning. 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 And as protection against every rebellious devil 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 And they say: "This is nothing but evident magic! 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Say, "You will certainly be brought back to life in disgrace". 18 The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 'This is the Day of Decision, even that you cried lies to. 21
