1/2 Hizb 45
< random >
۞ [The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship 22 “Instead of Allah and herd them to the path leading to hell.” 23 And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned." 24 "What is the matter with you? Why do you not help one another (as you used to do in the world)?" 25 Nay, but this day they make full submission. 26 but [since it will be too late,] they will turn upon one another, demanding of each other [to relieve them of the burden of their past sins]. 27 They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right." 28 They will say: "No, you were the ones who would not believe. 29 we had no authority over you; no, you were an insolent people. 30 "So now the Word of our Lord has been justified against us, that we shall certainly (have to) taste (the torment). 31 So we led you astray, for we ourselves were erring. 32 On that day they will all share the torment. 33 This is how We deal with the criminals. 34 Verily when it was said unto them: there is no god but Allah, they ever grew stiff-necked. 35 And they said: are we going to abandon our gods on account of a poet distracted? 36 "Surely, he has brought the truth, confirming those who were sent before; 37 Lo! (now) verily ye taste the painful doom - 38 And you shall not be rewarded except (for) what you did. 39 But the bondmen of Allah, the sincere ones 40 For them there is a known provision, 41 Fruits (Delights); and they (shall enjoy) honour and dignity, 42 In gardens of delight, 43 seated on couches, facing one another. 44 Round shall be passed a cup unto them filled with limpid drink: 45 Crystal-white, of a taste delicious to those who drink (thereof), 46 Neither dulling the senses nor intoxicating, 47 Theirs shall be wide-eyed maidens with bashful, restrained glances, 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 They will turn to each other and ask questions. 50 One of them says, 'I had a comrade 51 who used to say: -- Are you also one of those who confirm the Truth (of life after death)? 52 [that] after we have died and become mere dust and bones we shall, forsooth, be brought to judgment?"' 53 (A voice) said: "Would ye like to look down?" 54 Then, he will look and see him in the midst of Hell. 55 He saith: By Allah, thou verily didst all but cause my ruin, 56 Had I not the guidance of my Lord, I would certainly have been brought into torment". 57 What, do we then not die 58 except our first death, and shall we not be punished' 59 This is indeed the mighty triumph, 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is that the better entertainment or the Tree of Zaqqum? 62 Surely We have made it to be a trial to the unjust. 63 Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire, 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of devils: 65 Truly they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding water. 67 then their return is to Hell. 68 Truly they found their fathers on the wrong Path; 69 and [now] they make haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples, 71 though We had sent warners among them. 72 Look, then how was the end of those who had been warned, 73 Except the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 74

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
