۞ (Then will the command be given): “Muster all the wrong-doers and their spouses and the deities whom they used to serve 22 Besides Allah, then lead them to the way to hell. 23 And stop them, for they shall be questioned: 24 "'What is the matter with you that ye help not each other?'" 25 Nay, but on that Day they would willingly surrender [to God]; 26 They will turn upon one another, and question one another. 27 They will say: "It was you who used to come to us from the right side [i.e. from the right side of one of us and beautify for us every evil, order us for polytheism, and stop us from the truth i.e. Islamic Monotheism and from every good deed]." 28 Others will respond, "It was you who did not want to have any faith. 29 And we had no authority over you, but you were an inordinate people; 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray. 32 Therefore, on that Day they will all share Our punishment. 33 Even so We do with the sinners; 34 For they, when they were told that there is no god except Allah, would puff themselves up with Pride, 35 And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? 36 In fact he has brought the Truth, and testified for the Noble Messengers! 37 Now certainly you shall be tasting the painful chastisement, 38 And you shall not be rewarded except (for) what you did. 39 But the chosen servants of God; 40 will have their determined sustenance 41 Fruits! And they shall be honoured. 42 In gardens of delight, 43 On thrones facing one another. 44 a goblet from a spring shall be passed round to them 45 White and delicious to the drinkers; 46 Neither they will have Ghoul (any kind of hurt, abdominal pain, headache, a sin, etc.) from that, nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And besides them will be chaste women, restraining their glances, with big eyes (of wonder and beauty). 48 so delicate as the hidden peel under an egg's shell. 49 Then they will advance unto each other, mutually questioning. 50 One of them says, 'I had a comrade 51 Who used to say: 'Are you one of those who can testify to the truth? 52 Can we, when we are dead and have become mere dust and bones - can we (then) verily be brought to book? 53 He says, 'Are you looking down?' 54 He will look down and see him in hell. 55 And he will say: by Allah, thou hadst wellnigh causedest me to perish. 56 But for my Lord's blessing, I were one of the arraigned. 57 (Allah informs about that true believer that he said): "Are we then not to die (any more)? 58 "Except our first death, and we shall not be punished? (after we have entered Paradise)." 59 Truly, this is a great victory!" 60 For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 We have made this (tree) a trial for the evildoers. 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-Fire: 64 Its produce is as it were the heads of the serpents. 65 and they eat of it, and of it fill their bellies, 66 On top of it they shall have a brew of boiling water, 67 And once again: Verily, the blazing fire is their ultimate goal 68 They found their fathers in error, 69 So they hastily follow their footsteps! 70 And assuredly there went stray before them many of the ancients. 71 though We had sent warners among them. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were admonished (but heeded not),- 73 Save the bondmen of Allah sincere. 74
