3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 We saved him and his family from the great affliction, 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 Thus do We surely reward the doers of good. 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called to him, "Abraham, 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
