3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 That is how We recompense the righteous: 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ Of his party was also Abraham; 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 He looked up at the stars. 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 And he said, “Indeed I shall go to my Lord Who will guide me.” 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 So We gave him tidings of a gentle son. 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 He was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
