Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 When he came to his Lord with a heart compliant, 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost. 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 (In response to this prayer) We gave him the good news of a prudent boy; 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113
