Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
