The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
O you (Muhammad SAW) enveloped (in garments)! 1 Arise and warn, 2 Thy Lord magnify, 3 And your garments do purify, 4 And pollution shun. 5 Nor expect, in giving, any increase (for thyself)! 6 and be patient unto thy Lord. 7 So when the Trumpet will be blown. 8 It will be a day of distress, 9 For the disbelievers - not easy. 10 Leave Me Alone (to deal) with whom I created Alone (without any means, i.e. Al-Walid bin Al-Mughirah Al-Makhzumi)! 11 And give him vast riches, 12 and sons ever present with him, 13 And I adjusted affairs for him adjustably; 14 Yet he desires that I should give more. 15 By no means! For to Our Signs he has been refractory! 16 On him I shall impose a fearful doom. 17 He reflected and then hatched a scheme. 18 May he be condemned! 19 Again, ruin seize him, how did he hatch a scheme? 20 Then he looked around, 21 Then frowned and grimaced. 22 and in the end he turns his back [on Our message,] and glories in his arrogance, 23 And said, “This is nothing but magic learnt from earlier men.” 24 This is not but the word of a human being." 25 I will cast him into Hell-fire 26 And what will make you realize what hell is? 27 It shall not spare, nor leave. 28 it scorches (even) the skin. 29 Over it are nineteen (angels guarding). 30 And We have not made the wardens of the fire others than angels, and We have not made their number but as a trial for those who disbelieve, that those who have been given the book may be certain and those who believe may increase in faith, and those who have been given the book and the believers may not doubt, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the unbelievers may say: What does Allah mean by this parable? Thus does Allah make err whom He pleases, and He guides whom He pleases, and none knows the hosts of your Lord but He Himself; and this is naught but a reminder to the mortals. 31
