And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
