We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
